We may be partial, but one of the best places to eat out in North Lake Tahoe is right on our home turf here in the Olympic Valley. After a day of hiking or shopping, you don’t need to leave our beautiful valley to find some truly delicious food. From upscale fine dining to gourmet coffee to pizza for the whole family, you won’t be disappointed. Take a look at some of our favorites.

Start your morning off right with a visit to the Olympic Valley’s Coffeebar location. With locations in Reno, Truckee and beyond, locals know you can’t go wrong with a morning stop here. Enjoy artfully prepared coffee and delicious pastries, baked every morning at their Truckee location, as you look up at KT-22 from their sunny deck. In a rush to get outside and enjoy? Pick up a stylish Coffeebar coffee tumbler and take your caffeine to go. Just finished hiking and hungry for some award winning Guinness BBQ hot wings, no problem, make your way to the Auld Dubliner. Open daily for lunch and dinner, this traditional Irish pub is a must stop for a game of darts and famous Shepherds Pie.

Another must-stop, after enjoying the slopes or hiking trails at Palisades Tahoe, is Fireside Pizza Company. If you’re looking for a meal for the whole gang, their family-friendly menu of pizzas and desserts will be sure to please everyone, big and small. After enjoying their Pear & Walnut salad, Garlic Cheese Bread and a pizza, your whole crew will be happy and well fed. Looking for small bites and California grown grapes, cozy up to the bar at Uncorked Wine Bar. You’ll enjoy the warm hospitality and delicious cheeses as you sip your way through wines from around the world. Or maybe you want to get home and relax with a bottle of mindfully farmed wine? Shop their large selection of limited production wines available by the bottle to take home and enjoy.

If you’re looking for a foodie-friendly, steak dinner for an Olympic Valley date night, be sure to make a reservation at Six Peaks Grille. Head to the Resort at Squaw Creek and enjoy the gorgeous views from the lobby before making your way to the restaurant. While you can’t go wrong with their impressive steak offerings, they are also known for their locally sourced ingredients that go into their chicken, seafood and pork menu items. The last spot on our list is tucked away steps from the Village at Palisades in the PlumpJack Inn. With a seasonal menu that changes to accommodate ingredients at their peak freshness and an award winning wine list, you won’t be disappointed with a meal at PlumpJack Café. If you’re lucky, you’ll pick a night when a winemaker is visiting. Your meal will be paired with wines that you can learn about as you sip.
